The symmetry of the home’s front facade required careful positioning of the fixtures in order to achieve uniform lighting from side to side. The decorative pendant and wall-mount fixtures were dimmed to balance their brightness with the landscape lighting.

At the rear of the house, key architectural elements are illuminated with warm-toned lighting, while plants and trees are illuminated with cool-toned or neutral light. A warm glow on the house and pergola are psychologically inviting while the cool light on the plant material intensifies their green coloration for a healthy appearance. The contrast between warm and cool light provides another layer of interest to this lighting scheme.
